The book "Al 'Aqidah At Tahawiyah", by Imam Abu Ja'far At Tahawi (Died 321 AH) is one of the most invaluable texts authored in the subject of the Islamic creed. In this text, Imam At Tahawi clarified the creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah which is the same creed held by the Prophet (Sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam), his Companions, and the righteous Salaf. This text has been a major reference for the study of the Islamic belief system ever since it was written in the 4th century hijrah. Topics covered during this 12-week course will include understanding the correct belief in Allah, the angels, the prophets, the revealed books, the hereafter, and other important matters related to Islamic belief. Upon successful completion of this course students should have a firm grasp of the transmitted creed of the Islamic tradition.
Teacher: Imam Amin Muhammad is a native of Atlantic City, NJ who has studied in Cairo, as well as Saudi Arabia with teachers such as Shaykh Walid Ar Rifa’I, Shaykh Mahmud Addam, Shaykh Jamal Zahabi, Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah and Shaykh Abdullah bin Ali Basfar. Presently, Amin teaches Hadith, Fiqh and delivers Jumu’ah Khutbah at Masjid Muhammad in Atlantic City, NJ. He also teaches and lectures at masajid in Newark, NJ, Ewing, NJ and Newark, DE.
This course will also have weekly review sessions online four days a week. Students will have the opportunity to review materials covered during class and ask questions during the LIVE half hour online sessions.
